Biography:
She was likely the daughter of the Ealdorman of Essex, though her mother is unknown. 

Nothing is known about her early life, other than that she had at least two siblings. 
 
After the death of the previous consort, King Edmund I of the English married her some time around 944. They had no children together. 

When her husband died, she was left a lot of his wealth, and may have re-married the Ealdorman of Southern Mercia, but this is heavily disputed. 
 
She died likely sometime around 975, leaving gifts and wealth to many cathedrals.
